- The Secondary Suites Program provides funding of up to $30,000 per unit for the creation of a secondary or garden suite which is an effective means to increase the supply of affordable housing.
- The County of Simcoe maintains waitlists for rent-geared-to-income housing owned or delivery by the Simcoe County Housing Corporation, and non-profit or co-operative providers.
- The County’s Rent Supplement Program is a rent subsidy paid directly to the landlord on behalf of the tenant. Rent subsidies vary in amount depending on tenant income source, and are currently 5-years in duration.
